Stolen Yellow bike Procession
Date: 2012/ 09- 2012/ 12
Location: Schilderswijk, The Hague, The Netherlands
Guided by: DRS22
Team with Ewelina borowiecka
“Schilderswijk” is a neighbourhood well-known for its complicated mixture of inhabitants in The Hague. I used to live in this neighbourhood. It is an area where 6 - 7 bikes were stolen per day, including two of my friends. In this project, we use the form of performance to present a ceremony of stolen bikes. We walked as a procession slowly on the street, everyone wore yellow raincoats. As a leader I read the stories about the stolen bikes, the procession walked with me will repeat what I said, the whole process lasted 10 minutes. I try to discover the potential of the streets in this area.
